Estimating Assistant – Salary £35k to £40k per annum plus benefits - Sidcup, Kent

We are seeking an Estimating Assistant to join our team and support our sales efforts. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be crucial in helping us secure £10m in sales for 2024. Your main responsibilities will include managing new enquiries, project estimating and pricing, drawing take-offs and scheduling, handling revisions, and documenting quote clarifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage new enquiries documentation.
  • Estimate and price projects.
  • Perform drawing take-offs and scheduling.
  • Handle revisions, including adds and omits.
  • Document quote clarifications.
  • Support the sales team with ad-hoc requests.
  • Provide cover for other estimators during holidays.

The Person

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PowerPoint is a plus).
  • Maths or quantity surveying background.
  • Ability to understand and read architectural specifications and drawings.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage work around deadlines.
  • A practical mindset with an understanding of building and construction processes.
  • A 'can-do' attitude, attention to detail, and responsibility for their work.
