We're currently recruiting a dedicated Event Planner to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Restaurant Associates on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting reactive sales activities including responding to telephone and e-mail enquiries for final details
  • Be fully conversant with the details of the event and sales handover
  • Adhering to the RA's pricing policies to maximise catering revenues and identify upselling opportunities
  • Ensuring all details and requirements of confirmed bookings are handed over accurately to the operations team
  • Proactive calls focusing on past bookers, lost and turned down enquiries and lapsed accounts
  • Liaise with the client onsite teams to ensure a harmonised approach
  • Opportunity to attend venue showcase events and FAM Trips
  • Administer all event related correspondence ensuring deposits and final invoices are issued and paid according to company guidelines
  • Updating final invoice revenue in Delphi post event
  • Update 3rd party platforms along with the venue website with seasonal offers and packages
  • To always be aware of sales activity/initiatives of our competitors and use this market intelligence, acting upon it to ensure RA Venues obtains its market share in this sector
  • To maintain accurate, up-to-date reports and information
  • To maintain the Delphi FDC booking system compliance benchmark
  • To maintain relationships with local event partners and LVP
  • Support innovative campaigns for the Sales and Marketing plan
  • Always responding positively and efficiently to customers. Following up on post-event calls within a specific timeframe to optimise business
  • To perform ad hoc tasks as directed

Our ideal Event Planner will:

  • A talented and creative individual with the ability to follow instructions carefully and independently. Highly adaptive and flexible with good organisational skills and strong attention to detail. Excellent team player with self-management skills.
  • Will be experienced in achieving KPI's and developing business strategy to achieve growth expectations
  • You're organised with extreme attention to detail and the ability to manage your time effectively.
  • You'll be entrepreneurial, target oriented and passionate about the Royal Armouries brands you'll be supporting
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced sales environment with a passion to learn and understand the sales process.
  • A strong work ethic, confident at handling objections, extremely self-motivated and target driven.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can explain hard concepts in clear, concise language.
  • You'll possess commercial awareness, constantly seeking new opportunities to generate revenue.
  • You're driven, intellectually curious and humble. You are always keen to keep learning and thrive working in a close-knit team.
  • You're tech and data-savvy and are comfortable working with a variety of systems and analysing data.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an event planning role within a Conference & Events environment would be advantageous
