About the Company

Our client is a leading financial technology events business putting on highly successful and profitable events throughout the world for the financial technology sector. Due to growth and success of the event Sponsorship Sales team, we are looking to recruit for a Sponsorship Manager role.

About the role of Sponsorship Manager

We are looking to recruit for a hungry and ambitious Sponsorship Sales Manager to join a successful Event Sales team in the UK (working from the Central London office 3 days a week).

This role will be a mix of managing top tier accounts whilst also developing new business with service providers for the Financial Technology sector.

As a Sponsorship Sales Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for growing and developing an existing portfolio of top tier accounts
  • Develop new sponsorship opportunities with new prospects within the Finance and Banking sector selling to Buy Side and Sell Side clients
  • Develop and maintain quality relationships with existing and new customers; utilize analytical skills to understand customers changing business and technology issues and needs.
  • Communicate professionally internally and externally
  • Attend conferences in your territory and represent the company, brand and product offering (some overseas travel will be involved as part of the role)
  • Strive to hit and exceed monthly sales revenue targets

Your Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 Years professional sales experience of which at least 2 of these years within a Sponsorship Sales role
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets
  • Track record in event / conference Sponsorship Sales
  • Experience of selling to Banks / Financial institutions would be beneficial
  • Determined and driven to understand new markets, clients, and products
  • Effective organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent communications skills in person, on the phone and over email.
  • Goal orientated and a team player
