Procurement Enquiries Clerk Hull, East Riding, North East Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and surrounding areas
- Full time (Monday – Friday, 8am- 4:30pm overtime may be required including occasional weekends)
- Permanent position
- Salary up to £30,000 per annum

Our client is a leading construction company renowned for delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. They pride themselves on excellence in every aspect of their operations, including procurement. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive Construction Trade Procurement Enquiries Clerk to join their procurement team and help manage the flow of trade materials and services for ongoing projects.
The Role
As a Construction Trade Procurement Enquiries Clerk, you will support the procurement team by handling enquiries, sourcing materials, and managing supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the bid team on responses to client opportunities and procurement enquiries.
- Source and liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers for quotations and material availability
- Compare prices and lead times to secure the best value
- Maintain records of enquiries, quotations, and purchase orders, and monitor stock levels for timely delivery
- Coordinate with site teams and project managers to meet procurement needs and resolve any issues
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure service quality, and assist with invoicing and purchase order processing

Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or similar roles within the construction industry.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with knowledge of construction materials and trade services.
- Strong numerical skills for pricing and comparison tasks.
Desirable:
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications (not a pre requisite)
- Experience in a fast-paced construction environment
- Knowledge of supply chain management processes
- CIPS qualification or willingness to obtain it
- Full UK driving licence
