Salary: £85 - £ 95 p/d

We are currently recruiting committed professionals to join a specialised Special Educational Needs School located in Milton Keynes. This role offers an exciting chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN).

Job Description:

We are looking for passionate and skilled individuals to fill SEN Teaching Assistant roles within our Specialist SEN School. Positions are available for both qualified staff and candidates with at least 6 months experience in Education or previous care work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support and education to children with a range of Special Educational Needs.
  • Assist with Implementation and development of individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with SENCO and other staff members.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with learners, parents, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and record learners' progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure effective learning.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance SEN expertise.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Candidates: Relevant teaching qualification is beneficial.
  • Experienced Candidates: Should have at least 6 months experience in a similar role, supporting children with SEN, or previous care work.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective strategies for support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
