Location: Remote / Northwest (PR26)
Salary: £53K - £55K (DOE) + Bonus
Shifts: Mon - Fri 09:00 - 17:00hrs
Contract Type: Permanent

Our client is a leading global Industrial Gases and Engineering company, delivering high quality gas processing solutions for a variety of industries, including healthcare, chemical, manufacturing and food & beverage.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Design/Test Engineer to work remotely with regular visits to site in Leyland. You will be managing the development of equipment and components, ensuring efficiency and SHEQ is always maintained.

As the Design/Test Engineer your duties will be;

  • Manage the development of new and current equipment/components.
  • Be actively involved in the Pressure Equipment design and testing processes, ensuring compliance standards are met and maintained.
  • Test the change equipment and assist in the roll out of training.
  • Consult with internal departments and external bodies, to ensure projects remain on scheduled.
  • Conduct, review and support HAZOP/LOPA assessments.
  • Support design approvals.
  • Manage spares equipment for PPM's and ensure critical spear are set up and stocked.
  • Support continuous improvement/productivity/savings & initiatives.

The successful Design/Test Engineer will have the following skills;

  • Must have previous experience/knowledge in Industrial Gas Supply.
  • Must have a good understanding of Gas Regulations, PSSR, PED etc.
  • Experience in HAZOP/LOPA Assessments
  • Chartered Engineering status/or working towards would be desirable.
  • Project Management experience would be ideal/ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management with ability to prioritise workload/projects.
  • Excellent IT skills with design software knowledge.
