This role has a starting salary of £40,296 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.
We are excited to be hiring an Assessment & Income Technician on a full-time permanent basis to join our fantastic Financial Assessments & Income Collection team. The team is located in various settings across the County. Your preferred location can be discussed at interview.
The role is open to hybrid working, meaning you would be required to work in the office at least 2 days a week. There will be the expectation to facilitate training sessions and workshops across the County as required.

About the Team
This role sits within the Financial Assessment & Income Collections Team, which is part of the Adults, Wellbeing and Health Partnerships Directorate.
We are a dynamic team, committed to ensuring our customers are fully informed in relation to charging for Adult Social Care, welfare benefit entitlement and are supported with making payment for care services.

About the Role
As an Assessment and Income Technician you will:
- Lead on workforce development, plan and deliver individual and team training.
- Provide advice and support to ensure financial assessments and debt recovery processes are completed in line with regulations and legislation.
- Review and develop the effectiveness of business systems and processes to maximise service quality and support transformation delivery.
- Maintain and update the guidance and information available to customers and colleagues.
- Engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders for effective collaboration to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Work flexibly and undertake projects to achieve service objectives, as directed by the management team

- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
- In depth knowledge of charging for Adult Social Care, debt recovery processes and welfare benefits.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, support colleagues and respond flexibly to changing priorities
- Excellent IT skills
