Fire Surveyor – The Role:

This role involves conducting comprehensive fire safety surveys, risk assessments, and inspections across the campus buildings and facilities. You will be responsible for identifying fire hazards, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, and recommending necessary improvements. The role also includes developing fire safety strategies, advising on fire protection systems, and working closely with the facilities management team to implement fire safety solutions.

Fire Surveyor – Main Activities/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fire risk assessments and surveys across the campus, identifying potential fire hazards and risks
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards within all campus buildings and facilities
  • Develop and implement fire safety strategies, including evacuation plans and fire protection systems
  • Collaborate with the facilities management team to oversee the installation and maintenance of fire safety systems
  • Provide expert advice on fire safety requirements during renovation and construction projects
  • Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and recommendations for fire safety improvements
  • Conduct fire safety training and drills for staff and students to ensure preparedness

Fire Surveyor – You:

  • Degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Fire Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Fire Surveyor or in a similar fire safety role, preferably in a large estate or campus environment
  • In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in identifying fire risks and solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met
