UK Project Manager (Video)

Really Creative Media is a team of digital and production experts, specialising in visual production for live broadcast, events and concert touring sectors.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join our brilliant creative production company. The successful candidate will be based in our production warehouse facility in Luton as well as working on location frequently, such as a live event venue or studio, as a particular project requires. This will include international locations and time away from home for short periods. Working remotely from home is also possible subject to discussion. The opportunity offers a great chance to oversee the deployment of and selection of video and broadcast rental assets for the successful candidate.

This role requires a well organised person with a can-do attitude and a passion for creative technological solutions. Experience in the entertainment video or lighting industry is a must and as is experience in a live events environment. The candidate will have a strong computer knowledge, good problem solving skills and excellent team skills along with the ability to prioritise a demanding workload and be able to work alone.

The Project Manager will:

  • Have a willingness to learn and understand the deployment of new and existing video hire equipment across the company.
  • Design, plan and implement solutions for clients and projects based on the company's rental assets inline with industry best practices and new technologies.
  • Manage rentals using the company equipment rental software.
  • Plan, manage and utilise staff and freelance crew as projects require.
  • Maintain client relationships with the support of the account director and other members of the team.
  • Be expected to keep up-to-date with industry trends, product releases and entertainment technology developments.
  • Be expected to maintain rental supplier and manufacturer relationships with a particular focus on the technology requirements of the company.
  • Oversee the design and development of new rental assets and rental solutions; for example a custom touring system as required by a particular client.
  • Be responsible for the quality, range and effectiveness of the technology used and offered to projects the candidate is responsible for and to contribute the same for projects for which others are responsible.
  • Act as a thought leader internally and externally and facilitate technological innovation with clients and partners and within the company.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, standards and brand guidelines.
  • Be able to program and operate video control equipment during rehearsals and shows.
  • On site work which means; managing the installation, operation and dismantling of video equipment and all associated tasks (unloading trucks, programming, operating, de-rigging etc).
  • Assist generally with operational tasks in the warehouse and office when required.
