The opportunity

We are partnering with a small but growing consultancy based near Middlesbrough in the search for a Business Data Analyst. This is an exciting time to join a small organisation and be part of the journey as they grow

Our client are looking for someone to help map out business requirements across a number of different clients, ideally someone who has a data background or understands data/BI tools.

This is a permanent role, with hybrid working - flexible options are available to suit requirements and some travel to UK clients may be needed

Salary:

Flexible based on experience £40,000-60,000

The Role

As a Business Analyst you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the design, development and implementation of Solution. Your primary responsibility will be to gather and translate business requirements into actionable insights and solutions, leveraging your experience in data analysis, Azure-based platforms and ideally, data warehousing methodologies such as Kimball.

BA requirements

  • Engage business users to understand their needs and translate into technical requirements for development
  • Liaise with diverse range of stakeholders from day-to-day consumers to senior execs through to technical solution providers
  • Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, validate and feedback
  • Conduct business process mapping and modelling
  • Detailed documentation of user requirements

Competency

  • Excellent soft skills, working technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Handle multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail, strong curiosity.

Ideal Experience

  • Experience gathering user requirements
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, working with large datasets through mapping and transformation processes
  • Knowledge of Kimball data warehousing methodology would be advantageous
  • Proficient with SQL for analysis
  • Experience in Agile projects
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Fabric
  • Knowledge of BI tools
