Quantity Surveyor/Estimator - Special Works
Introduction: We are currently representing our client, an esteemed tier 2 principal contractor in their search for a seasoned QS/Estimator, that works across various sectors including housing, healthcare, retail, education, and other commercial projects. The business is split into two divisions: Construction/Contracting, which handles the build element of the business, and Special Works, which involves commercial maintenance, refurbishment works on commercial and heritage buildings, and residential extensions. We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join the Special Works arm of the business.

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor/Estimator - housing, healthcare, retail, education, and other commercial projects
Key Responsibilities: As a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will be responsible for special works estimating using first principles based on your own labor. Your role will require a strong all-round build knowledge and good commercial acumen, enabling you to spot risks and opportunities effectively. Experience in heritage works is desirable but not essential.
Location of Position: Bury St Edmunds
What We Are Looking For: We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator with experience in a tier 2 or small to medium-sized contractor. While experience with heritage work is desirable, it is not essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in special works estimating and a keen eye for commercial risks and opportunities.
Salary: £60k-£70k
