On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are looking to recruit an exceptional teacher who will be responsible for a KS1 class in a lovely school in Cheshire. This role will commence September 2024 and run until the end of the academic year with the potential to be made permanent. About the Role

As the KS1 teacher, you will be responsible for a class of approximately 25-30 children. This is a mixed-ability class so you will be required to differentiate activities to both scaffold and stretch learners to achieve their potential. This is a unique school with inclusive resourced provision and a strong vision to support the development of the 'whole child' to prepare them for challenges of the future. The school will consider applications from ECT's as well as those with more experience and look to appoint an individual with passion, ambition and drive.

As the KS1 teacher, your responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Undertake full class teaching responsibilities for a KS1 class
  • Build a positive rapport with all pupils based on trust and mutual respect and monitor children's social and emotional wellbeing
  • Thoroughly plan and deliver engaging lessons that motivate and inspire learners and align with National Curriculum Standards
  • Adopt a creative curriculum approach with activities that cater for visual, audio and kinaesthetic learning preferences
  • Deliver the Read Write Inc phonics scheme with fidelity and use supplemental resources to support the writing phase
  • Plan targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy to bridge gaps in learning and accelerate pupil progress
  • Review, report and reflect on daily practice to assess learning and inform future planning
  • Adhere to safeguarding, assessment and behaviour policies as well as other policies in place at the school
  • Contribute whole-heartedly to school events in the wider community to maintain strong partnerships with local families.

To be considered for this position as a KS1 teacher you must:

  • Hold QTS certification (or an equivalent teaching qualification).
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks. Or be happy to undertake a new DBS through us
  • Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
