Description
We are working with a FMCG Manufacturer who are looking for a QA Technician to join their team based in South Manchester.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and calibrating measuring equipment to various testing standards.
- Working with and under supervisor of the QA Supervisor and alerting the QA Supervisor of ongoing problems.
- Inspecting raw materials to ensure consistence and integrity.
- Complete raw material, packaging and factory specifications.
- Root cause analysis.
- To ensure the filling out and maintaining of any paperwork required.
- Complying with any and all standards, internal policies and legal regulations that apply to the finished product.
- To ensure good hygiene and housekeeping standards are employed at all times.
- To perform accurate analysis of the product, process and packaging to determine its suitability for purpose.
- To work with all team members to use their skills and knowledge to identify problems and implement opportunities.
- Being aware of the individual product requirements and demonstrate the ability to identify problems.
- Communication between QA Supervisor, QA Manager and Production teams
Qualifications, Experience and skills
- Strong analytical and mathematics skills
- Willingness to work in noisy environments
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of QA systems
- Food Safety & HACCP

Schedule
- 12 hour shifts, Days and Nights
- Average of 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts of 2x 07am-19pm & 2x 19pm-07am followed by 4 off.
