JOB DETAILS:
Working on behalf of a local authority, JO recruitment are looking for Family Support Workers to support children and their families with a variety of problems such as: drug and alcohol addiction; having a parent in hospital or prison; a parent or child with a disability or special educational needs (SEN); language barriers which mean they struggle to access local and national services; and needing help with general home management, finance and parenting skills.
They are looking for Family Support Workers to join their Family Hub in Walsall to start September. This will be on a temporary ongoing basis, full time 37 hours per week paying £16.26 per hour PAYE; which is equivalent to £31,284 salary or £21.13 per hour through an umbrella. Hybrid, 2 days from office, home visits etc. Enhanced DBS check is required for this post. A willingness to travel from location to location usually within Walsall but on occasions this may include out of borough travel. Lone working within an appropriate setting, including family's homes, schools, community settings.

- Experience of working with Children and young people 0 - 19 is essential
- Experience of working with children, young people with SEND
- Experience of working effectively with family who have complex needs, or at risk of becoming a child in care, is essential
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting would be an advantage
