We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join the team of our client, an established company with works in rail, specialising in M&E, Civils and S&T. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. Your role will involve ensuring that projects are completed within budget and providing accurate cost advice to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements and Responsibilities
- Maintaining and developing relationships with clients
- Monitoring budgets and contract costs
- Ensuring compliance in relation to contracts and recording all contact records
- Identifying and evaluating financial risks
- Producing final accounts
- Communicating with suppliers for procurement, negotiation and placing of orders
- Other tasks appropriate to the role as required
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a contracting environment and within rail
- Rail experience, particular experience in M&E would be advantageous
- A HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying/ RICS or CES (or equivalent) - Desirable
- NEC contract knowledge - desirable
- Good communication skills and an ability to work on your own initiative
