Credit Controller

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join a finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the prompt and timely collection of payments from debtors, as well as managing the day-to-day credit control functions. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in credit control and excellent customer service skills.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Opening and managing credit accounts, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Setting and reviewing credit limits in conjunction with insurers.
- Monitoring credit accounts to prevent overdue payments.
- Actively chasing outstanding debts and ensuring timely payment.
- Resolving customer invoice queries efficiently.
- Opening and managing haulier accounts.
- Processing weekly payments to hauliers and handling related queries.
- Conducting daily banking activities.
- Preparing monthly reports and reconciling credit accounts.
- Managing the weekly invoice run and ensuring accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- AAT Part Qualified is desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience in credit control within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent people and customer service skills, with the ability to manage relationships with clients and hauliers.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
