Are you thinking about your first move from practice? An established, PLC is looking for a technically strong Group Accountant.
This is a great opportunity to work on both group accounts, and management accounts.
Group Accountant – Responsibilities
- Provide regular review of financial accounting standards and updates, and other corporate reporting requirements
- Prepare and produce standalone statutory accounts
- Assist in preparation and production of the annual and interim financial statements for external publication
- Assist in external audit process through the year end and half year audits for group accounts and the relevant
- Company secretarial filing and record
- Work closely with our tax advisors on corporation tax and VAT to ensure that tax is calculated, filed to and paid promptly with the HMRC
- Month end accounting for property and holding company subsidiaries including accruals, prepayments, general book-keeping and variance
- Maintain schedules and prepare monthly journals to support subsidiaries team on their month-end reporting
- Production of group monthly and statutory income statement, balance sheet and cashflow
- Assist in quarterly in-year Forecasting, annual budgeting
- Maintain records of intercompany transactions and reconciliation of intercompany balances within group entities on monthly basis. Liaise with subsidiaries team to resolve variances
- Update cash forecast and provide weekly updates on cash position and liquidity requirement to senior management. Manage the loan facilities within the group
Group Accountant – Person Requirements
- Strong technical accountant
- Experience of group consolidations – whether in industry or though audit
- Experience working with PLCs is helpful but not essential
Group Accountant - The Package
- Salary – up to £60,000
- 10% employers pension contribution
- Flexible hybrid working – 50/50 split
- 25 days holiday
