Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by a global manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Senior Buyer.
The Role :
- Responsible for the procurement of goods and services
- Sourcing value for money, quality suppliers, and securing commercially appropriate quotations; negotiating pricing and payment terms.
- Maintaining accurate data within the ERP/MRP system
- Onboarding new suppliers & build relationships with suppliers
- Negotiate, execute and monitor contractual agreements with suppliers
Key Experience :
- Experience of buying within a manufacturing facility (aerospace or automotive highly desirable)
- Understanding supplier approval processes and the importance of due diligence checks.
- Demand and spend management, analysis, and forecasting techniques knowledge.
- The importance of developing and managing key stakeholder relationships
- Knowledge and experience of MRP systems and MS Office
- Very organized and exceptional multi-tasker
