Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Are you an experienced senior finance professional looking for a new challenge? With two brand new finance director roles available, this an exciting time to join the Royal British Legion.

We are looking for Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to be responsible for the Finance Analysis and Planning of The Royal British Legion Group (Including our subsidiaries, Poppy Scotland and the National Memorial Arboretum).

As a Director of Group Financial Planning & Analysis, you will lead and oversee the development and delivery of long-term financial plans and forecasts for the RBL Group and the delivery of in year financial results. You will also advise the Executive Board and Trustees on appropriate reserves and other policies to ensure that RBL's finances are effectively managed and controlled.

On day to day basis you will also:

  • Lead the financial input in line with RBL's Strategy and delivery of the Executive Board Objectives. This includes preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial plans for the RBL Group.
  • Support and lead through the Heads of Financial Planning & Analysis and their team of Finance Business Partners. As well as contributing to the development of the Finance function, as one of its senior members.
  • Provide insightful reports and analysis to the Executive Board, Finance Committee and Board of Trustees on key financial issues, risks and trends.
  • Act as a Project Manager/Sponsor for various project that come under this roles remit.

You will be contracted to our Haig House, London Hub. Under our Future Working framework, there will be some flexibility for working remotely/at home, using our collaboration tools to work with colleagues but with a minimum expectation of two days/week connecting directly face-to-face with colleagues at the hub.
