I am working with a brilliant new media and creative agency that are based in the West End (Holborn). They are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the finance team (made up of 3 additional people) on a permanent basis. The role will give the candidate excellent exposure to both the Accounts Payable and Receivable ledgers, and you will be working very closely with the Finance Director.

The client are based in the West End of London. The company specialise in curating and executing brand events and experiences for their customers, and work with some of the biggest global brands in the world. They have 2 offices (one in London, one in New York) and this role will give the successful Finance Assistant the opportunity to have exposure across both the Accounts Payable and Receivable ledgers. The business are looking for a candidate with approximately 1-2 years of experience working in Accounts Payable and will offer the successful candidate study support.
Description
The successful Finance Assistant will:
- End to end management of the Accounts Payable and Receivable ledgers
- Processing of the AP and AR invoices onto the system
- Management of the accounts inbox
- Dealing with internal and external AP and AR queries
- Chasing unpaid invoices (Credit Control)
- Weekly payment runs
- Credit Card reconciliations
- Processing the purchase orders on the project management system
Profile
The successful Finance Assistant will:
- Have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within industry & commerce
- Studying towards a higher accounting qualification - AAT, ACCA or CIMA (highly desirable)
- Have strong Excel skills
- Prior working knowledge of Sage 200 (desirable, not essential)
- Prior experience working on Google Drive (desirable, not essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Keen to learn and develop as an accountant
