Newman Stewart are currently partnering with a well-established, privately-owned British engineering and manufacturing organisation who specialise in the design and build of high-quality process plant machinery utilised in a wide array of industries such as chemical, waste & recycling, food and pharmaceutical.

As the proposals and applications engineer you will be responsible for generating the initial design proposals, based on the specific customer requirements, ensuring that there is a detailed and accurate cost estimation for each proposal. You will be tasked with acting as the internal link between sales and engineering focussed on driving the concept through the business to ensure the proposals generated meet customer requirements.

To apply for this role, you should:
- Have completed a degree or HND in a relevant mechanical and process engineering discipline or equivalent through experience.
- Be customer focussed and innovative solutions provider.
- Have experience with various design software packages (such as SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD).
- The ability to conceptualise complex, bespoke solutions and provide viable solutions to meet customer needs.
