School Finance Manager

We are inviting applications for the role of Finance Manager at a leading educational institution in the London Borough of Hounslow. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations and contributing to the strategic financial planning of the institution. The school is dedicated to providing exceptional education and facilities for students with a range of learning difficulties.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Manage and oversee the financial systems, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare financial reports, budgets, and statements for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide financial guidance and support.
  • Implement and improve financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage expenditure, ensuring value for money in school operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree and professional accounting qualification (AAT/CIMA/ACCA) or the willingness to work towards it.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance role, within the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting practices.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
