Investment Governance Manager

Role Overview

Nest is rapidly growing to become one of the world's largest asset managers, with an aim to manage over £100bn by the end of the decade. We're seeking an Investment Governance Manager to join our Investment team and support the Director of Investment Strategic Delivery.

In this role, you'll be pivotal in driving governance processes, ensuring the efficient management of meetings, strategic planning, and the evolution of investment governance as our assets grow and regulatory demands increase. You'll maintain and develop key policies and procedures, working closely with senior leaders like the COO, CIO, and CEO, alongside wide range of stakeholders.

To be successful in this position you will need the following experience and technical skills:

  • Knowledge of investments and understanding what it means to work in an FCA regulated environment.
  • Experience of preparing policy papers and/or reports for executive level meetings.
  • Ability to multi-task, work well with people at all levels, and complete tasks to a high standard.
  • Degree or equivalent level education.

The role holder will be trained in and subject to adhere to the FCA Conduct Rules Tier 1 as per the requirements in the FCA's Senior Managers and Certification Regime.

The Nest Invest team is responsible for investing members' contributions in order to grow their retirement pots over the long-term.The responsibilities of the team include:

  • Asset allocation and portfolio risk management
  • Manager selection and monitoring
  • Responsible investment
  • Investment communications
  • Fund administration
  • Investment technology and financial modelling
  • Contributing to the development of the investment proposition

From December 2019, the Nest Investment team was seconded into Nest Invest Ltd (Nest Invest), the investment subsidiary of Nest Corporation.

Nest Invest is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). For the role holder, this means working in a regulated entity, and being required to adhere to certain rules and behaviours included in the FCA's Code of Conduct (COCON), specifically the individual Conduct Rules defined by the FCA.
