Field Service Technician
- Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 dependent on experience
- Covering Locations: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, Leicester and Northampton region (UK)

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to join a dedicated team, providing exceptional customer service and promoting our clients market-leading products. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing customer relationships both before and after sales. As a Field Service Technician, you will be the vital link between their production facility and their valued customers, ensuring their vehicle-mounted weighing solutions are installed and functioning optimally.
Day to Day of the role:
- Travel from home to customer locations to fit and install onboard weigh products onto vehicles.
- Identify potential business and professional service opportunities during daily duties.
- Manage and control account stock to improve first-time fix levels and minimise stock losses.
- Calibrate weighing systems and products on-site with customers.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair weighing systems.
- Deliver excellent customer service and provide advice and training on the use of weighing equipment.
- Offer technical support by phone, email, or face-to-face.
- Attend annual engineers' meetings at the Bradford site.
- Recommend solutions to customer problems and assist with product application advice.
- Contribute to departmental reports and documents for continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical components with a desire to learn.
- Very basic IT skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to travel throughout the designated area.
- Clean driving license.
- Experience with HGVs is advantageous but not essential.
- Must have work authorisation in the UK.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office.
