Empowering Learning are looking for Behaviour & Resilience Support Worker to work in an amazing SEND specialist school situated in Nottinghamshire. Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEND pupils is favourable. Experience within the a sector with transferrable skills may also be considered.
Driving and own vehicle are essential due to rural location. This is a truly amazing setting.
Desirable Attributes:
- Have experience working with young people
- Ability to work with people with high level behavioural needs
- Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
- Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
- Have an interest in supporting young people with a variety of SEND
- Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable not essential)
- Be able to supply school with teaching references
- Be a part of the school team taking part in the wider school environment
- Have an understanding of managing children with PMLD and high level support need.
Job Description:
- Supporting the class teacher and other teaching assistants in the day to day running of the class
- Supporting children during lessons/school activities
- Supporting specified pupils in 1:1 format
- Supporting staff/children during lunch and break times
- Managing pupils personalised learning based on their individual need.
- Helping young people with their daily care requirements
- Working with a variety of SEND needs including non-verbal pupils
- Delivering 1:1 or small group activities
- Collecting evidence of children's work to support their assessment
- Providing physical management and care of pupils
