Elevation Recruitment Group's Senior Finance division are delighted to be working exclusively with a fantastic business based in Knottingley as they look to recruit a Group Accountant into their established finance team.
This role is perfect for a part-qualified Assistant Accountant looking to take the next step up under a strong and supportive leadership team.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Group Accountant:
- Completion of extended trial balance
- Period analysis and reporting of labour, overhead and capital expenditure
- Preparation of the management accounts
- Collation of non-financial management reports and preparation of the monthly management pack for review.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Quarterly standard cost roll up
- Monthly preparation of draft accounts
- Completion and timely submission of Group National Statistics returns
- Annual Valpak return
- Compile Monthly Payroll data
- Will be expected to provide holiday / absence cover for other members of the finance team as and when required, will be trained in both purchase ledger and sales ledger to facilitate this
- Will be required to perform additional ad-hoc duties in accordance with changing business needs and as directed by appropriate management
Person Specification:
- Fully or part qualified CIMA/ACCA
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is desired
- Extensive data analysis experience and understanding of financials
- Advanced level of Excel and ERP systems
