Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Pumps

Industry Sector: Macerator Pumps, Commercial lifting station, commercial pumps, pumping stations, grinder systems, waste water, M&E, heating, ventilation, M&E contractors, Pluming Contractors, Plumbing Installers, national and independent plumbing and heating merchants

Area to be covered: North - M62 Corridor up to Borders

Remuneration: £40,000-£45,000 + Up to £10,000 Bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed hybrid car, £70 month lunch allowance & full benefits package

The role of the Area Sales Manager - Pumps will involve:

  • Field sales role promoting a manufactured range of macerator pumps that allow domestic customers to install bathrooms with limited access and lifting stations & commercial pumps (allows clients to add multiple fixtures and bathrooms to a residence or building without breaking concrete or finished floor and without compromising structural integrity)
  • Covering the North of England
  • 60% of your time stimulating demand for these products with plumbing contractors, plumbing installers and M&E contractors
  • 40% managing relationships with national and independent plumbers merchants
  • Multi million pound revenue responsibility
  • Tasked with growing the area by 10%
  • Opportunity to make a name for yourself as the area has not had any field sales representation for six months
  • Typically up to six appointments per day
  • Prepare quotes and give correct technical advice
  • Develop a robust business plan and undertake full category analysis
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the sector/ market trends/ developments by competitors

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Pumps with:

  • Pump field sales experience
  • Contractor led customer experience with plumbing contractors/ installers, M&E contractors etc.
  • Specific knowledge of macerator pumps or lifting stations/ commercial pumps is not required by may be advantageous
  • Demonstrable s track record in field sales and territory management
  • Good understanding of the plumbing & heating industry's dynamics and requirements
  • Proactive, personable, motivated and driven
  • Commercial acumen
  • Confident negotiator with ability to "close the sale"
