Senior Accountant - Part time

£50,000 - £62,000 per annum (Full time equivalent)
Butler Rose are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a well-established firm in Waterlooville on a part time basis. Working 3-4 days per week, this will be an integral position with the firm, managing two Accounts Assistants, and assisting the partner with the overall management of the firm.
In addition, you will independently manage a diverse portfolio of accounting clients, completing year end accounts, VAT returns, and corporation tax.

Requirements:
- In depth, recent experience from working in a UK based accountancy practice is essential.
- AAT qualified as a minimum - ACCA / ACA studiers or qualified by experience will also be considered.
- A minimum of 4+ years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to work closely with clients.
- Experience preparing year end accounts, VAT, and corporation tax.
- Ideally you will have experience managing people but this isn't essential.
Duties:
- Manage a large portfolio of varied accounts clients.
- Prepare year-end accounts, VAT, and corporation tax.
- Liaise with clients directly to answer financial queries and review accounts.
- Manage two Accounts Assistants - Reviewing their work and ensuring that deadlines are met.
