Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a London based Local Authority who are looking to identify a Strategic Capital Finance Business Partnerto join their Senior Leadership Team and to lead and manage the Council's Capital investment programmes.
Key responsibilities include;
- Leading on the creation, coordination, and development of the annual capital budget, including the implementation of a sound and robust financial plan
- Line management and budgetary control over a team of 3 finance staff
- Provide direct support to the Deputy S151 and deputise as required
- Manage service level budgets and resources
- Lead on small capital projects, implementing changes and improvement
- Working as a part of the Senior Management Team, attending meetings with senior stakeholders and elected officials
The person;
- Completed a relevant professional qualification
- Strong understanding of Local Authority Capital Accounting
- Extensive Local Government Finance experience is essential
