About the Role: We are seeking a diligent and experienced Administrator to join Dorset Council's team at the Wareham Waste Depot. This is a temporary position offering an hourly rate of £12.18. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks at the depot.
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Handling and processing administrative paperwork
- Maintaining and updating records and databases
- Managing phone calls and correspondence (emails, letters, packages)
- Supporting the team with various administrative tasks
- Preparing reports and managing schedules
- Coordinating meetings
- Ensuring compliance with Council policies and procedures
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an administrative role is essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
