You will be working for a global, FSTE-listed manufacturing business at their head office located in the heart of Central London. This organisation's products serve billions of end customers right across the globe. You will be joining a business that impacts the people and businesses on every continent.
Your new role
As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing all indirect spend. This will include all the category planning, supplier rationalisation and strategic negotiations to cover UK, EU and global agreements. Categories will include, but are not limited to, IT, HR, Legal, Travel and Professional Services to name a few. This is a newly created role that is tasked with taking indirect procurement to "the next level" - bringing a more strategic and big picture focus to circa £50m of spend. Your key stakeholders will be the SLT, primarily but not limited to Finance, Legal and HR. You will be working closely with these stakeholders to understand the organisation's key long-term objectives and translating these into tangible procurement projects/initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have an in depth understanding of indirect procurement principles, ideally within a similar industry. You should have excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively engage with and influence right the way up to board level. Prior experience delivering strategic procurement initiatives within a global business is critical in allowing the right candidate to hit the ground running in this role. You will need to be able to effectively engage within a global business and should have experience of managing international stakeholders with tangible success. A self-sufficient and self-driven nature will also be expected from the right candidate.
What you'll get in return
You will be entitled to a competitive base salary of up to £75,000 p/a (d.o.e), as well as a generous bonus scheme of up to 15%. Enhanced pension, private medical and life insurance will also come as standard. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days a week in the Central London office.
