Up to £45,000 p/a

Select Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a leading manufacturer near Attleborough, to find a skilled and dedicated Electrical Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Work: Perform and install electrical work with high quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Minor Projects: Lead minor electrical projects from design to commissioning, ensuring objectives and specifications are met.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Complete preventive maintenance work orders as required, following established standards and procedures.
  • Temporary Repairs: Implement safe temporary repairs when production constraints apply and notify the Supervisor to schedule permanent repairs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow current regulations for electrical installation work and ensure all relevant documentation and certification are completed and submitted.
  • Tool Maintenance: Keep tools in good working condition and use them appropriately, following safety procedures and using protective equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Document all components used from the stores and adhere to proper procedures for requisition and return.
  • Health & Safety: Abide by current health and safety regulations and the company PPE policy, promoting a culture of safety among colleagues.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Electrical Engineering Qualification
  • Good experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment
  • Commitment to developing and maintaining a world-class engineering department
  • Initiative and ability to prioritise duties
  • Quick, logical thinking for emergency response
  • Excellent observation and attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills to work in partnership with others

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Multi-skilled engineering apprenticeship

  • Health and Safety qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH)

  • Experience in engineering within a poultry processing environment

  • Additional certifications (Training provided):

  • Level 2 Food Safety

  • Level 2 Health and Safety

  • Environmental Awareness

  • COSHH

  • Manual Handling

  • Confined Space

  • Ammonia Awareness

  • Asbestos Awareness
