About the Role:
As a Packer at Hughes Safety Showers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of our safety shower products. You will be responsible for carefully handling, inspecting, and packaging goods for shipment, contributing to the overall quality and timeliness of our product deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packaging: Efficiently and accurately pack safety shower and eye/face wash equipment according to established guidelines and safety standards
- Inspection: Inspect products for defects, damages, or discrepancies before packaging, ensuring only high-quality products are shipped to customers
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to the packing process, maintaining accurate records of inventory and shipments, whilst ensuring all items are packed in alignment to the customer's order
- Quality Control: Collaborate with the quality control team to identify and address any issues related to product quality or packaging standards
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
- Efficiency: Work efficiently to meet daily production goals and timelines while maintaining attention to detail
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues in different departments to ensure seamless communication and cooperation within the production and shipping process
- Problem Solving: Identify and communicate any issues or challenges related to the packing process, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
The Right Candidate:
You will ideally have prior experience in a fast-moving packing environment and familiarity with woodwork machinery, including wood saws.
You should possess a GCSE or equivalent certification in English and Maths, along with a valid FLT licence.

- Working with indoor cranes desirable not essential
- Basic woodwork skills, making pallets suitable for transport
- Attention to detail and accuracy in packaging
- Ability to lift and move objects safely
