Role Purpose

The Information Security Compliance Coordinator is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining clear and accurate documentation for Information Security Polices, standards, training content, and internal communications. The Information Security Compliance Coordinator works closely with ISO teams, IT, business users, and external parties to gather requirements, research topics, and produce user-friendly and accessible content. The Information Security Compliance Coordinator also ensures that the documentation adheres to BDO standards and guidelines, as well as best practices for technical communication. This role will be reporting to the Information Security Manager.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Create and update Polices, standards, training content, and internal communications, etc.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, business users, and external parties to gather requirements, research obligations, and validate content
  • Apply BDO standards and guidelines, as well as best practices for technical communication, to ensure consistency, clarity, accuracy, and accessibility of the documentation
  • Use appropriate tools and formats to produce and publish the documentation in various media, such as web, print, PDF, etc.
  • Manage the documentation lifecycle, including version control, review, approval, distribution, and archiving
  • Proofread and edit your own and others' work to ensure quality and correctness
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and users to improve the documentation
  • Support the CISO teams in testing, training, and troubleshooting related to the documentation
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in technical communication and IT
  • The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post

Technical Competencies

Knowledge and experience of:

  • Technical writing principles and practices, such as information design, content structure, terminology, style, etc.
  • Using various tools and formats for creating and publishing technical documentation, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, HTML, etc.
  • Documenting Polices, standards, training content, and internal communications in relation to Information security
  • Working with IT teams, business users, and external parties to gather requirements, research topics, and validate content
  • Applying accessibility requirements and guidelines, and how to apply them to technical documentation
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Security, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
