Role Overview: As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a small group of up to 7 SEN students. Your role will involve supporting the teacher in delivering the Early Years curriculum, adapting learning materials to meet individual needs, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
  • Adapt learning activities and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Encourage social and emotional development through positive interactions.
  • Monitor and record student progress and communicate with parents and staff.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience with the Early Years curriculum is essential.
  • Previous experience working with SEN students is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
