HR Business Partner

My client, a globally respected University in London now has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their HR team on a permanent basis. Please note; this role offers hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week working from the office.

As HR Business Partner you will work closely with colleague across the wider HR function to provide a professional, high quality and strategically focused HR service within your designated areas of the organisation. You'll work in partnership with key stakeholders in your client groups to develop evidence-based people solutions and devise and implement local people strategies to meet a wide range of people challenges and manage risk throughout the employment lifecycle. This will include supporting on a range of complex and high profile change programmes, requiring a strong understanding of organisational design principles and practices, coaching managers through ER issues, working alongside HR colleagues to contribute to a variety of cross-faculty and cross-functional projects, and much more!

This role requires a credible and confident individual with proven experience of operating as an HR Business Partner at a strategic level of influence and who possesses strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to proactively build credibility with demanding stakeholders, add value and operationalise strategic people objectives and decisions.

To be considered you will also require:

  • CIPD or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in an HR generalist role gained in a large, complex, unionised organisation
  • Experience of operating in a Business Partner model, acting as the bridge between the client group and the Centres of Expertise within HR
  • Experience of advising on and handling a wide range of complex HR issues including change management, organisational design, workforce planning, succession planning and talent management
  • Experience of implementing successful EDI approaches/strategies
  • Demonstrable evidence of influencing at a senior level through the utilisation and presentation of intelligence, data and insights in support of an evidence-based approach
  • A demonstrable ability to utilise sound judgement to make impactful decisions when faced with ambiguity and risk
  • Previous experience of supporting clinical staff groups in an NHS, Higher Education or other healthcare setting would be highly desirable
