We are seeking an experienced Buyer to manage procurement activities for various commercial programs, focusing on maximizing value, optimizing supplier performance, and minimizing costs and risks. This role involves sourcing, contract negotiation, and managing supplier relationships while collaborating with internal teams to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement and Sourcing: Lead procurement activities for assigned products, ensuring the establishment of solid contractual frameworks with suppliers.
- Tendering and Negotiation: Conduct sourcing activities, including tender processes and contract negotiations, to achieve the most competitive purchasing terms aligned with company standards.
- Supplier Management: Oversee supplier performance throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with terms related to logistics, quality, support, and cost.
- Relationship Building: Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers, managing day-to-day interactions and projects to enhance value and minimize risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with various internal teams (Engineering, Program Management, Finance, Supply Chain, and Quality) to ensure alignment on contract requirements and project objectives.
- Commodity Strategy Development: Contribute to defining and implementing the commodity strategy, perform market research, and support global sourcing initiatives.
- Financial Oversight: Work with the finance team to provide accurate financial forecasts, identify potential risks, and evaluate opportunities related to supplier contracts.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively manage risks and identify opportunities for counterclaims or cost recovery from suppliers.
