Your role with us

The Finance Department are seeking to recruit a full time Credit Controller to join their busy Accounts Receivable team. Primary responsibility is the collection of overdue payment for inpatient Fees and the management of queries arising from billing issues.

What we are looking for:

Candidates must have experience of customer service along with credit control experience. You will require tenacity to ensure swift and successful resolution to complex queries raised from both internal and external customers. You must have a pleasant, efficient and customer focussed manner, possessing excellent communication, time management and people skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:-

Monitor aged debtors and maintain cash collection for a portfolio of customers (funders) using written communication and Teams calls whilst keeping accurate records of activity, maintaining the upmost levels of confidentiality throughout.

Distribute invoices and credit notes by various methods such as email and customer portal

Ensure Unique ids; POs and other identifiable data is obtained for newly admitted patients so minimise delays to payment

Contribute to the success of a new ERP system

Maintain strong customer relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders so that disputes are identified, flagged and escalated promptly for quick resolution.

Management of remittances and cash allocation

Oversee the management of the shared inbox in the most efficient way

Skills and Experience

A minimum of two years credit control experience; knowledge of NHS funding streams would be of particular interest.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly build and sustain strong relationships

Experience of non-standard payment types such as schedules and self-bill would be desirable

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
