Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student participation and enthusiasm for mathematics.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and development.
- Participate in school activities and contribute to the wider school community.
- Stay current with developments in maths education and integrate new knowledge into teaching practice.
Requirements:
- Proven experience teaching maths at the secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Desirable:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience with GCSE and A-level maths curricula.
