Site Chemist

Role Summary

  • The Site Chemist will be responsible for performing laboratory analyses, quality control checks, and research and development activities. They will work closely with the team to ensure compliance with regulations and to find innovative solutions for waste management. The role requires hands-on involvement in waste treatment processes and following safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Testing waste samples as part of Pre Acceptance Procedures.
  • Testing on site samples as part of Acceptance Procedures.
  • Conduct sampling and testing of effluent prior to Water Treatment Process.
  • Conducting spot check testing during Water Treatment Process.
  • Conduct on site sampling form Storage Tanks, Packaged Containers & Road Tankers.
  • Control of all inbound and outbound waste samples and analysis.
  • Dispatch of all outbound samples.
  • Completion of Waste Declarations.
  • Occasional yard support work will be required (Training will be given).
  • Laboratory Skills, Analytical Skills, and Research skills
  • Experience in quality control and adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Research and Development (R&D) experience
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Experience in the waste management or environmental industry is a plus
  • Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field (Essential)
