HR Manager

Are you a HR Manager with experience in the hospitality, leisure or lifestyle sector? Looking to join a passionate, unique and progressive business? We have an exclusive opportunity for a HR Manager to join a luxury and world renowned pre opening property based in Northampton. You must have your own transport to travel to the property.

You'll be providing generalist HR support as part of a wider HR department. Working collaboratively with the business to deliver professional, effective, supportive and efficient service. Ensuring compliance, policies and procedures are followed maintaining deadlines and confidentiality at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising Head of Department and the management team in relation to all segments of the employee life-cycle
  • First point of contact for employee advice and queries
  • Manage the recruiting process from tracking applications to the on-boarding process
  • Provide HR insights, analytics, payroll analysis, training, compliance, management and staff performance
  • Ensure policy and process handbooks and resources are kept up to date
  • Employee relations and maintain technical knowledge to ensure legal compliance
  • Advise management in relation to ER cases and the business on employment law, polices and procedures
  • Oversee the performance management process to asses and review individual performance, supporting with setting objectives
  • Managing the rewards, benefits communication and documentation of bonuses and changes to benefits
  • Managing payroll, records, employees files, processes, liaising with the Payroll team
  • Monitor staff performance and attendance
  • Work collaboratively and support the Head of HR on wider business projects when required

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in the hospitality, leisure or lifestyle sector
  • CIPD membership and good knowledge of up to date HR approaches and thinking
  • 7 years plus experience in a HR role
  • Confident in advising managers on all aspects of people management and development
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law
  • Experience in managing employee relation cases
  • Strong influencing, coaching, facilitation and commercial HR skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative, under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Ability to lead various projects autonomously
  • Strong IT, Microsoft 365 skills and knowledge of Select HR/Select Pay would be desirable
