A special school in North Leeds is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their growing team of support staff. The school caters for children and young people aged 11 to 19 with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs.
The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant to start in September on a full time, long term placement (Monday to Friday).
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- To support the children in accordance to their care plan and ensure their needs and requirements are met.
- To support with behaviour management as and when required.
- To assist the class teacher in running exciting lessons and stimulating activities to aid the pupil's sensory skills and development.
- To build strong rapport with the pupils to help them feel comfortable and relaxed in school.
To be a Teaching Assistant at this school, it is required that you have experience supporting children with autism and Learning Disabilities to demonstrate your knowledge of how to support vulnerable young people.
