Supply Chain Manager

A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Bordon, with a competitive salary package of up to £45,000.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the overall supply chain strategy, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional levels of service delivery to both internal stakeholders and external customers.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a proven track record of success in supply chain purchasing within a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in Supply Chain Management or Procurement Management.

Role responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager include:

  • Conduct a thorough review and update of supply chain practices to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant laws and regulations
  • Negotiate and manage contractual agreements with suppliers and freight companies to secure optimal pricing and terms, while continuously monitoring and assessing their performance to maintain cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Sales and Operations Plan that aligns with business objectives, incorporating key performance indicators to measure success
  • Design and implement logistics strategies that enable efficient tracking of goods from origin to warehouse, ensuring seamless product flow and minimizing delays
  • Utilise data analytics to identify potential risks and proactively mitigate them by accurately predicting product demand, ensuring a lean and agile supply chain that is responsive to changing market conditions

Person Specification of the Supply Chain Manager:

  • Previous experience in a similar position within a manufacturing/fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills and comfortable in working with all management levels across the organisation
  • Strong IT Skills and experience working with ERP software
  • Strong prioritisation, problem solving and delegation skills
  • Previous managerial experience

Salary

Up to £45k

Offers up to 2 days a week working from home
