TimePlan Education is supporting an outstanding primary SEND school in Hackney, committed to exceptional education in a nurturing environment.
Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Unqualified SEND Teacher
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons for KS1 students with ASD and SLD.
- Provide one-on-one support and lead group activities.
- Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development.
Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent.
- Experience with primary-age SEND students, preferably at Early Years level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children's learning.
