Paying from £42,000 up to £45,000 depending upon experience, we're seeking a driven Senior Design Engineer who is several years into their Design Engineering career to join the team of circa 60 employees at this highly profitable manufacturer who have global manufacturing operations. This role will be working on a variety of mechanical design projects that serve multiple industries offering you a chance to expand your engineering base as well as becoming a key member of their team moving forwards.

This role will oversee the entire design process from initial concept to volume production. It will also incorporate project engineering and great customer interaction yet fundamentally is a Design Engineering role. You'll get to work on various design projects of various sizes. As a busy manufacturer there will be times when you switch from project to project, so they do seek someone dynamic who is excited to work within a fast paced operation. As a Senior Design engineer you'll prepare, review and approve drawings, technical specifications, reports etc . You'll be involved with developing methods and documentation for validating new products to ensure integrity of design and that performance specifications are met, also being able to sign off on documentation.

So what do I need?
- At least several years of experience as a Design Engineer
- You will hold some relating engineering certifications, for example a HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- CAD and 3D Solid Modelling skills
- Mechanical Design bias is preferred
- Great communication skills to take ownership of design projects
You will drive and see the fruition of your work quickly due to onsite manufacturing. Their projects are diverse which ensures security, there is lots to learn, offers variety and ultimately by reporting into the Technical Manager your feedback and suggestions will be heard, quickly.
