Your new company is a market leading logistics business in the Lancaster area. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
- Maintain Sales ledger and Purchase Ledger postings on Sage.
- Reconciling company bank accounts weekly.
- Set up a weekly payment run and once agreed set up payments for FD authorisation on the online banking platform.
- Monthly levy sheet and calculation.
- Updating and maintaining the foreign exchange deals log.
- Provide a monthly debtors report and weekly credit control of due customer invoices.
- Complete month end reports to be used to assist FD in the monthly MA pack e.g. transport analysis.
- Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines - requirements as requested.
- General office duties to include – filing, answering the telephone.
- Make travel bookings as required to include for example flights, hotels, parking, trains.
- Order stationery and other ad hoc office supplies as required.
- Liaising with auditors.
- Providing adhoc information in a timely manner as required by FD/MD.
What you'll need to succeed
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role
- Ability to understand and act upon written and verbal instructions.
- AAT Qualified / Part Qualified
- Experience in Sage is preferred but not essential.
- All round experience in finance and adaptable approach to the role.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
