We are actively recruiting for a Bid Finance Manager who will play a pivotal role in actively leading the financial aspects of our bids and proposals. In this role, you'll collaborate with a geographically diverse Business Development team. This presents a remarkable chance for you to substantially impact our continuous growth.

What you'll be doing...

As the Bid Finance Manager, you will work with the Business Development Team to create a profitable commercial offer in new business proposals, as well as supplying key competitor analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing key analysis for all relevant stakeholders
  • Responsible for providing financial support in new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with Business Development and other key internal stakeholders to understand proposed solutions and model the financial workbooks accordingly
  • Documenting pricing assumptions for internal sign-off and client submission
  • Communicate agendas and timeframes to ensure relevant approval before submissions
  • Support the Business Development team with weekly investment meetings
  • Supporting the Head of Sales in strategy-setting, decision-making making, and all matters related to the commercial side of our business development approach
  • Responsible for updating and improving sales workbook models
  • Set and validate target pricing benchmarks and maintain knowledge of bench-marking prices including price-to-win analysis.
  • Produce final client-facing financial returns
  • Contribute to improving costing and pricing efficiency

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours a week - Hybrid working

What can you bring?

In this role:

  • Qualified Accountant with post qualification experience
  • Held previous commercial finance roles
  • Preferably worked in a bidding environment / possibly worked in roles that are more commercial than finance
  • Strong influencer and experienced in challenging the status quo
  • Confident in influencing key stakeholders
  • Great team player and able to work in collaboration with both the Business Development, Operations, and wider central finance team
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Excellent Excel skills with a good eye for detail
  • Ability to navigate through complex bids with the ability to translate tender information into compelling and accurate financial workbooks
