Rate – Competitive

Duration – 12 months plus contract

My client is a Tier 1 contractor based in Twickenham, who is currently looking for a project manager with water industry background, some hybrid work will be available.

Responsibilities:

  • To lead the MEICA install at Mogden Sewage Treatment Works (STW).
  • To manage / help recruit a team of MEICA engineers to manage the works.
  • To manage the Programme of works both upstream (Client) and downstream (Sub-Contract)
  • To manage / lead the HSES on site and ensure the company's processes are followed with regard to the MEICA Install.
  • Aid with the design review processes and Client facing meetings (Engineering Manager will take the lead)
  • Develop and approve the Scope of works for each package of Mechanical and Electrical works, and aid the tender enquires to contract award of the sub-contract packages
  • To work with the Commercial Manager in the Project Commercial Reporting
  • Ensure the project is running on time
  • Keeping the project within H&S regulations
  • To manage the project Budget alongside the Commercial team and ensure the project runs to budget
  • Stakeholder management – including Senior Management and the Client
  • Management of all teams on site – including Site Supervisors/Operational Teams/Sub-contractors
  • Ensure the project is running in line with clients needs (the project has a live Public interface).

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification (Management qualification / NVQ L3 / HNC / Degree)
  • Chartership with ICE or working towards
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the main management systems and processes used within a similar business.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills including leading and managing technical teams within a competitive business environment.
  • Able to take the lead with client interfaces and manage project delivery on technical and business aspects of team outputs.
  • Able to establish project requirements and drive the team to deliver the required outputs in terms of quality, cost and programme.
  • Excellent leadership and problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to work
  • Working as part of a team to deliver objective of the department and company as a whole
  • Enthusiastic, Collaborative approach
  • Looking to improve procedures in the department and implement changes originating from the company
  • Preferably have experience in Sewage Treatment
  • Needs to be competent in using Microsoft Office and Web Based portals.
  • Preferably have a TWUL Safety Passport
