What you will be doing:

  • Supporting commercial teams and customers with technical knowledge and support - including direct contact with customers on occasion, via phone, e mail, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Preparing theoretical new product proposals for customers and prospects
  • Providing customers with regulatory and technical information as required
  • Collaborating with the quality department in generating quality system documentation
  • Formulating and undertaking laboratory scale work including lab scale product development, preparing samples for product assessment
  • Working closely with the research & development and engineering departments to ensure smooth and trouble-free introduction of new products.
  • Working closely with suppliers and purchasing department sourcing suitable new raw materials including some direct contact with suppliers
  • Providing the quality department with support in the approval of new raw materials
  • Keeping up to date with market and competitor trends as well as new and emerging materials
  • Preparing product documentation related to New Product Introduction processes.

What you will need:

  • A degree-level qualification in a scientific field such as Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Forensic Science, Food Science, Biology, etc.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats
  • Previous experience of customer contact is desirable
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • A Full UK Driver's License and access to your own transport is desirable.

What you will receive:

A salary of up to £25,000 (dependent on experience) + pension, potential annual bonus, 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays, etc.

Your working hours

The company offers a flexible working scheme where you work 8 hours per day Monday to Friday,

Start time will be between 7:30am-9:30am and finish time between 3:30pm-5:30pm.
