Senior Quantity Surveyor required. Our client is a leading provider of industrial automation technologies and services to the UK and Ireland markets. They are now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor due to the growth of the business.
Successful candidates will provide Cost Management services, on projects ranging from £500,000 to £20m, while safeguarding the position of the business in any cost or schedule related discussions. Candidates will work on large scale construction, design and management projects under the NEC forms of contract.
**Senior Quantity Surveyor
Position Overview
- Aid and support the Project Managers on a daily basis, to ensure projects are meeting commercial and financial targets
- Identify future concerns and provide solutions to mitigate risks
- Build strong and collaborative relationships with both client and suppliers
- Contribute to regular and accurate reporting to the Operations and Project Managers on/for: PPR/CVR/Cash Flow/Weekly Updates etc
- Prepare and submit valuations and agreement of final accounts
- Lead the commercial management of multiple sites on time and to budget
- Price and submit contract variations and agree final account with client QS
- Understand and provide advice and guidance on the terms of the contract and any conditions precedent therein, not least regarding the times for giving notices and making applications
- Assist the proposal team with obtaining pricing and engineering estimates
- Liaise with clients regarding commercial aspects of contracts and resolving any pricing issues
- Attend site progress / contract review meetings
- Quality Assurance project review phasegates
- Comply with company procedures
**Senior Quantity Surveyor
Position Requirements
- Experience of working on large scale Construction, Design and Management projects
- Gas Network Transmission experience & NEC contracts highly desirable.
- Minimum HNC/HND/Degree qualification Quantity Surveying
- Experience of commercially running multiple small projects or one project up to £10 Million
- Have knowledge of ISO 9001, Health & Safety at Work
- Hold a full UK driving licence
**Senior Quantity Surveyor
Position Remuneration
- Salary: £60,000
- Working hours: 37 hours
- Bonus Scheme up to 10%
- Holiday Package: 25 + 8BH increasing upon service
- Hybrid working, 2 days from home.
